Event makeup ranges greatly based on the occasion. Always remember that while it is sometimes fun to be dramatic and different, don't surpass your comfort level. After all you want to enjoy yourself and confidence determines the outcome of any look.
Great skin takes any look to the next level. Put effort in creating a flawless complexion so that attention can be drawn to positive
features rather than imperfections.
Try to keep your look focused on one or two facial features so that the makeup compliments you and does not overpower. No matter what facial feature is the focus of your makeup, accentuating your lashes is recommended. If you decide on applying false lashes make sure you use a brand that has real human hair rather than plastic or artificial lashes. This way not only will your lashes translate well in photographs but they will look great throughout your event and they will feel much more comfortable. The decision between individual or strip false lashes falls on your comfort level, the shape of your eyes, and the depth of the eye makeup.

Cheek bones can be shaded to give more definition in photographs, this should be done very lightly so it is not an evident line. Blush should be applied to the apples of the cheeks and softly blended.
Your lip colour will depend on the look you are trying to achieve. To make this colour last throughout your event it is important to build it up by using a lip pencil underneath a gloss or lipstick. Do keep your lip colour on hand throughout the evening and reapply
accordingly.
When planning to attend a special event take the time to plan out your makeup as you would your outfit. Makeup can complete your look and make the evening that much more special!
